A FESTIVAL OF AUDACITY AND POETRY
Inspired by the Italo Calvino novel The Baron in the Trees, a comic baroque dream, Les Colporteurs bring us a fragile vision of life between heaven and earth. Accompanied by an original musical creation, this celestial ballet, dotted with scenes where balance rivals with virtuosity, asks the universal question of whether freedom is limited by weightlessness and our human condition. Laszlo Hudi’s production brings together the different artistic disciplines in a very poetic and imaginative way around the wonderful dream of “living on high”. “Today, can one still be a ‘baron in the trees’? Our concern is the way in which we try to reach this goal.”
