BASED ON OVID’S “METAMORHOSES”
“In olden times, human beings and the gods interacted. The frontiers between the two worlds were not yet very clear … Ovid gives us a poetic and often ironic description of these encounters, passages between the vegetable, animal, human and divine worlds. This performance recounts the metamorphoses that we could undergo today in our imagination where everything, past and present, blends together as in a dream. Actors and acrobats interpret this ancient, dark and intense universe from which they descend, passing almost weightlessly through the skies and the earth into the depths, travelling in an impossible balance between the human and the animal. They bring us the emotion, tension and liberating laughter that emerge when confronted with horror, fear and the unknown.”
